I recently had a small photo epiphony when I realized that all this amazing work I've been seeing for the past couple years (which I often save for inspiration) comes from the same photographer.
Every time I see one of her photos my heart jumps, her work absolutely spot on. I'm glad I finally discovered London-based photographer
Mel Bles.
Mel Bles graduated from the Central St Martins School of Art in 2000, and since then has shot for Dazed and Confused, iD, Nike, Stella McCartney, Topshop, Fendi, Another Man, and Pop.
Her background in design has informed her style and drives her to continue challenging communication within the realms of fashion photography. The British Journal of Photography – both sighting her as one of the most exciting young talents for 2011.

I don't know why I love the below editorial so much, it seems so simple.... but the styling, the models' attitude and the conscious center placement all came together in a memorable way.

It's always good to see how an innovative photographer handles more commercial work. I think her portraiture lack some of the innovation and processing that's so great about her editorial work, but nevertheless it's still really nice.
